چکیده
Aims: This study aimed to assess the apical sealing ability of experimental apatite-coated gutta-percha points compared various coated root filling materials.
 Study Design: Experimental in-vitro study.
Place and Duration Study: Department Restorative Dentistry, University Malaya, June 2014 November 2014.
Methodology: Ninety-six extracted permanent maxillary central incisors were standardized prepared by ProTaper universal rotary files. The specimens allocated into six groups (n=15) filled using matching single cone technique as follows; EndoREZ with sealer, Bioceramic (BCGP), Active GP (ActiV GP), Conventional (GP), apatite (HAGP) all in combination Endosequence BC sealer. sixth group was cold lateral compaction subjected a dye leakage test. remaining teeth divided equally be used negative positive control. One-way analysis variance (ANOVA) followed post hoc Dunnett T3 test performed for data analysis, significance value set at P =.05.
Results: ActiV had least BCGP, HAGP, compaction, conventional GP, EndoRez.
Conclusion: HAGP canal showed favourable comparable it superior EndoREZ.

Comparison of Apical Sealing Ability of Two Phases of Gutta–Percha: A Bacterial Leakage Model
OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to compare apical sealing ability of alpha and beta phases of gutta-percha by means of bacterial leakage model. MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty single-rooted human premolars were selected. The root canals were prepared with Mtwo rotary instruments up to apical #35.04. Forty teeth were randomly divided into two groups (n= 20). The root canals were obturated by ...

AIM To compare the long-term apical sealing ability of gutta-percha/AH Plus and Resilon/Epiphany. METHODOLOGY The root canals of 90 single-rooted human mandibular premolars with single narrow root canals were prepared with ProFile 0.4 taper instruments to apical size 40. After each instrument, the canals were irrigated with 1% sodium hypochlorite. Subsequently, the teeth were randomly divided...

متن کاملApical seal of root canals with gutta-percha points with calcium hydroxide.
The objective of this research was to determine if gutta-percha points with calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2] improve the apical seal after root canal filling and if the master point does it alone. Human single recently extracted teeth were biomechanically prepared and the root canals filled by the lateral condensation technique with ZOE and gutta-percha points, with or without calcium hydroxide. The...
متن کاملComparative Sealing Ability of Injectable Thermoplasticised Gutta Percha, Thermocompaction and Lateral Condensation – an Invitro Study
Successes of endodontic treatment depend on cleaning and shaping of root canal and adequately obturate the prepared root canal space. 1-3 Obturation has historically been achieved with gutta percha and a sealer. The root canal system has many variations in anatomy such as irregularly shaped canals, lateral and accessory canals, anastomoses between canals and a variety of fins. All this leads to...
